What Special Functions Does Real Time Tracking Device Support?

Most of the gsm tracking device support basic tracking functions, such as real-time tracking, engine cut, acc detection, etc. But for some projects or government projects, there are more functions needed, what special functions does real time tracking device support?

 a. Real time tracking device supports Auto log when no GPRS function.

Our real-time tracking device VT600 has built-in 4MB Flash memory, it can be used to store data when there is no GPRS connection. When there is no GPRS connection, the electronic tracking device can store all GPS information triggered by preset tracking interval, alarms, request, or button activation and send this information (LIFO – Last In, First Out) to the server by GPRS or preauthorized mobile phone by SMS when GPRS connection recovers. The internal memory can store 16384 pcs GPRS Data, 512pcs SMS and 169728pcs GPS log.

Set Type of sending sequence for old data (data during no GPRS connection) via SMS/GPRS Command:

Mode: Type of sending sequence for old data

mode=0 means LIFO

When there is no GPRS connection, the Real time tracking device can store all GPS information triggered by preset tracking interval, alarms, request, or button activation and send this information (LIFO – Last In, First Out) to a server by GPRS or preauthorized mobile phone by SMS when GPRS connection recovers.

mode=1 means FIFO

When there is no GPRS connection, the Real-time tracking device can store all GPS information triggered by preset tracking interval, alarms, request, or button activation and send this information (FILO – First In, Last Out) to the server by GPRS or preauthorized mobile phone by SMS when GPRS connection recovers.

Default mode=0

If you need real-time tracking, mode=0 is suggested.

 c. Real-time tracking device supports FOTA function.

FOTA means Firmware Over-The-Air, so we can upgrade the firmware easily. The most real-time tracking device cannot be upgraded firmware easily, need to send it back to the factory or uninstall it from the vehicle then connect with PC Software for firmware upgrading, actually, it’s not very convenient. iStartek real-time tracking device support firmware upgrade via both PC Software and FOTA.

 d. Real-time tracking device ACC OFF interval function.

In some countries the GPRS data cost too high, so when vehicle under acc off status clients require to set a longer time interval to save GPRS data. our real time tracking device VT600 can support different time interval for acc on status and acc off status.
